Alcohol & Drug Council of Tompkins County hosted NYS Attorney General Letitia James for a press conference at their Open Access Center in Lansing on Wednesday, as part of her “HealNY” Tour. Attorney General James came to deliver up to $1.7 million dollars to Tompkins County that will go directly to impacted communities to combat the opioid crisis. This is part of a $26.7 million investment in New York’s Southern Tier, which comes from funds from different settlements Attorney General James has negotiated following her March 2019 lawsuit against the various manufacturers and distributors responsible for the opioid crisis.
